WHAT YOU'LL BE DOINGAs the Process Improvement Specialist, you will be responsible for development and implementation of business process improvements and associated documentation and information resources, for all processes and systems within our Scheme Services business unit. You will also play a key role in educating and coaching teams on process changes, ensuring that agreed changes are understood, implemented, and embedded.You will:Act as business process Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all aspects of operational processes and systems across Scheme Services to assist in the identification, planning, and delivery of best practice processes across all functions.Work in collaboration with cross-functional teams and key stakeholders to map and document formal processes, procedures and work instructions for the Scheme Services business unit, and implement a continual cycle of evaluation and review to ensure these are kept up to date and relevant.Assist with the practical interpretation of process documentation and actively support staff adherence to documented policies, procedures and work instructions.Work with Team Leads to coach staff and identify training needs as required, and assist in the development and delivery of training across teams and functions arising from process change and improvements.Work alongside leadership and project teams to identify opportunities and needs for process and systems improvements, elicit business requirements, and ensure appropriate communication and escalation of these improvements through appropriate channels for prioritisation and delivery.Monitor and analyse anticipated impacts of system or project updates to ensure all changes that result from initiatives are captured in process documentation and appropriately communicated to impacted teams.Work across the business, collaborating with key stakeholders to transform inefficiencies into streamlined, impactful solutions, ensuring alignment with Coal LSL's transformation strategy.This is a permanent role based in Newcastle.WHY WORK WITH US?As a Commonwealth Government entity that regulates portable long service leave, we are proud of the difference we make in the lives of hardworking Australians. You will be a natural communicator with experience engaging, consulting, and managing relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.Your background will also demonstrate your:Proven ability to work independently, exercising sound judgement and reason, and referring for guidance as required.High level organisational skills, with experience in coordinating and scheduling meetings and workshops with stakeholders and collating results and outcomes while working within timeframes.Experience in training and/or coaching others, including peers.Strong ability to successfully coordinate multiple activities at once.Strong analytical skills and a capacity to interpret complex data and information and translate this for a variety of audiences to ensure understanding and compliance.Sound ability to advocate for change/improvement, with well-developed negotiation skills.Ability to maintain current and relevant understanding of complex business processes, systems and legislative updates as required for the role.Familiarity with project management, business improvement, or human-centered design methodologies.You will have formal qualifications in Business, Process Improvement/ Continuous Improvement, or an equivalent discipline.
