This part-time role is ideal for individuals looking to gain experience in accounting and finance while working on a permanent, part-time basis. Key Responsibilities: Assist with accounts payable and receivable processes, including data entry of invoices and payments.Reconcile bank statements and ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately.Assist in maintaining general ledgers and preparing basic financial reports.Support in the preparation of financial documents such as invoices, receipts, and statements.Assist with payroll processing and employee expense claims.Monitor and update spreadsheets for various financial tracking and reporting purposes.Help maintain accurate and organised financial records, both digitally and physically.Provide support during month-end and year-end closing procedures.Respond to queries from suppliers, clients, or other departments regarding financial matters.Assist senior staff with any ad hoc accounting tasks as required. Key Requirements: Certificate or diploma in accounting, finance, or a related field (or currently studying towards it).Basic knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping.Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.Excellent organisational and time-management skills.Good communication skills, both verbal and written.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Prior experience in an accounting role is a plus, but not required.
