Program Director: UNITE (C&TB) – 57364 Sydney (preferred) Full-time permanent Hybrid working model (2-3 Days On-Site) How will I help? UNITE will be Westpac’s biggest transformation project ever. It is a business-led, tech-enabled transformation - delivering simplification and benefits for our customers, employees and shareholders. This is a role within the CTB LOB Unite delivery village responsible for delivering to product strategies, outcomes and priorities under Westpac’s Unite program. This Portfolio lead role is representing the CTB business and works closely with the Delivery lead to execute on the CTB Unite program plans and outcomes. This is a senior project role reporting to the Head of CTB Unite. Details on this role include: Delivery excellence – Executing on a range of big and small initiatives to meet CTB product and pricing strategic priorities and outcomes including core banking transformation, customer and data migration, product harmonisation and delivered risk uplift. Strategic planning and mapping – Understand who, what, where, when across all relevant delivery programs. Stakeholder engagement and collaboration – Work with teams to drive delivery including – Decision making, investment, and resourcing support. Leadership – Lead delivery projects and support and provide guidance on existing product managers. Collaborate with the Delivery lead – On delivery progress, dependency management and planning, costs and benefit drivers, and escalation. Key Requirements: Project delivery – Navigate through complex and specialist product sets, technology and channels and competing priorities and perspectives. Experience with planning, escalation and stakeholder management – Experience with project management Customer contact and migration – Understand our customer and how they navigate change – Support customer migration notification and product/system changes Strong commercial acumen – Deliver to the financial business case and benefits. Regulatory environment and risk management – Manage and mitigate risks - Operating to deliver to meet our risk obligations and bring risks back into appetite. What’s in it for me? Extensive leadership experience with the ability to build and motivate high-performance teams. Proven track record of leading and successfully delivering large-scale projects/programs of work with costs above $50m across multiple business areas. Excellent program governance and financial management skills to ensure robust monitoring and reporting. Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and build relationships across all levels of the organization. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner. Strong understanding of risk management in a complex environment and adherence to the Three Lines of Defence model and compliance obligations. Ability to think creatively and outside the box to identify new opportunities and solutions. Knowledge of the banking industry and financial products and services. Project Management qualifications such as Prince2 or PMBOK. What is it like to work there?
