Ethnic Communities Council of Queensland – West End QLDFIXED TERM CONTRACT - END 30 September 2026Purpose of Role:As the Workforce Connect Project Coordinator, you will play a vital role in coordinating capacity building training for interpreters and employers.Your position is responsible for engaging with stakeholders including government, employers, and multicultural community members to connect them into capacity building training for interpreters and how to engage interpreters.The Project Coordinator will need to facilitate advisory group meetings, build promotional campaigns to raise awareness and engagement with the training, and ensure key performance indicators for the project are being met, along with evaluation of the project.Qualifications & Experience:Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Community Development, Social Work, etc.)or equivalent study/work experience.Demonstrated experience in community outreach, project coordination, or related roles.Demonstrated understanding of human rights, diversity, and inclusion principles.Tasks & Responsibilities:Stakeholder engagement: Develop and maintain strong relationships with multicultural community leaders, service providers, and government stakeholders relevant to the program.Establish an Advisory Board group for the project and facilitate regular Advisory Board meetings, including fulfilling the secretariat role.Develop a strong communications campaign to share with stakeholders regarding the availability of training and establish a mechanism to facilitate referrals into the training.Collaboration and Partnership: Work collaboratively with sub-contracting organisations delivering training to participants and ensure clear communication regarding progress of project milestones.Work collaboratively with the Community Development and Engagement Manager and other ECCQ program teams.Act as a liaison between the community and external stakeholders to facilitate seamless communication and collaboration.Data management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all project outcomes, collect data on the number of participants who have completed the training, and progress made by participants ensuring confidentiality and compliance with relevant data protection regulations.Generate regular reports on outcomes, program impact, and community engagement for internal and external stakeholders.Support to Implement short-term projects: Ensure timelines are achieved, and records are kept up to date and accurate.Meetings management: Organize and book logistics for meetings and events.Ensure timely communication regarding meetings with all stakeholders.About Us:Established in 1976, ECCQ has a long and proud history of leading and contributing to the development of Queensland as a successful multicultural society.ECCQ's focus is supporting and advocating for the needs, interests, and contributions of culturally and linguistically diverse communities in Queensland and providing culturally inclusive health services, information, and education.We believe that everyone, irrespective of their background, should be able to participate in and contribute to all aspects of Australian life.We value a diverse workforce and strive to ensure our workplaces are welcoming and enabling to people of all backgrounds.We encourage applications from people of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent, people from CALD and LGBTQIA+ communities, and from people with a disability.Only shortlisted applicants may be contacted.No agencies please.#J-18808-Ljbffr
