About the Role
Mater Health prides itself on delivering exceptional care to patients. Our Cardiovascular Unit/Cath Lab is an established facility offering a range of diagnostic and interventional procedures.
We are currently building a brand new, state-of-the-art unit to open in 2025. As a Clinical Nurse in this department, you will work alongside highly skilled cardiac, vascular, and interventional radiology professionals.
Key Responsibilities
* Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients undergoing cardiovascular procedures.
* Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures, ensuring their safety and comfort.
* Administer medications, manage IV lines, and assist with various diagnostic and interventional procedures.
* Educate patients and their families on post-procedure care and lifestyle modifications.
* Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards.
About You
To be successful in your application, you will have:
* Current AHPRA nursing registration as a Clinical Nurse (no restrictions).
* Post-graduate studies (completed or currently enrolled) highly advantageous.
* Considerable demonstrated experience in an Acute Care setting/Medical environment (ideally with a minimum of 12 months experience in Cath Lab/Cardiac Services).
* Previous Clinical Nurse experience preferred.
* A strong work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to role model and promote the Mater values.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to liaise with a variety of different stakeholders both internally and externally at various levels.
* Demonstrated ability to operate both in a team environment and autonomously using initiative, sound reasoning, and strong listening, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
* Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
* Commitment to ensuring the levels of service are always delivered to patients at all times.
