This newly created Business Development Executive role is an exciting opportunity to join our Sydney team and contribute to the firm’s success.In this position you’ll work closely with the General Liability Product Line, supporting planning and business development initiatives to drive growth and engagement. You’ll be part of a hardworking, collaborative, and supportive group that values creativity and proactivity.Key responsibilities includeCollaborate with the Senior BD Manager, GL Product Line Leader, and Partners to implement strategic plans.Support BD and marketing activities within client plans for GL’s Focus Groups.Assist with partner business plans, quarterly check-ins, and management reporting.Contribute to GL specific capability statements and maintain a library of marketing collateral.Support multi product line pitch opportunities led by the Bids & Pursuits Manager.Regularly update case studies of significant instructions in the CRM system.Coordinate campaigns to promote GL’s priority growth areas.Collaborate with the Marcoms and Events teams to execute firmwide events and GL specific CLEs and presentations.Ensure the successful delivery of smaller, GL-led events with the support of admin teams.Share market insights and connect opportunities to PL group plans.Champion the CRM system, ensuring data integrity and accurate tracking of BD activities.Support onboarding for lawyers regarding BD initiatives.Foster positive relationships within the broader BDM team, promoting collaboration and knowledge sharing.About youYou have a minimum of three years’ experience in business development within a law firm or professional services environment.Degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.You’re an effective communicator, confident in articulating ideas and engaging with senior partners, internal teams, and external stakeholders.Proactive and detail oriented, you anticipate opportunities, identify areas for improvement, and consistently add value through your work.You thrive in managing multiple priorities, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard.Collaboration comes naturally to you, and you enjoy building positive working relationships within teams, bringing energy and enthusiasm to every project.You are experienced with CRM systems, maintaining data integrity and using market intelligence to inform business development activities.Your ability to adapt to evolving priorities and translate strategy into action makes you a trusted and effective partner within the team.You are passionate about business development and eager to contribute to a high performing and supportive environment.Why WK?At Wotton Kearney, we're more than just a law firm.
