About the Role
The Property Services Lead is a vital member of the Emergency Communication Services (ECS) department, overseeing the facility management and operations of SECCs to ensure 24/7 functionality.
This specialised role requires expertise in ECS, processes, and systems, managing day-to-day operations, including coordinating facilities management, Business Continuity Plans, OH&S, security, and fire services.
The Property Services Lead supports the site management team, ensures a safe work environment, and acts as the first point of contact, addressing risks and enhancing operational performance while overseeing specialised projects, event coordination, and reception.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and maintain facilities and critical infrastructure, ensuring high availability and optimal performance for 24/7 operations, while identifying opportunities for service and equipment improvements to mitigate risks of equipment failure.
* Lead, coach, and develop property service teams (reception and inventory administration), improving performance, customer satisfaction, and outcomes through enhanced systems and processes.
* Provide support and advice to the Property Services Manager, EMECS, and MECS on property and operational matters, including change initiatives, facilities, BCP, and HSW activities.
* Provide analytical and technical support to stakeholders like Procurement, Operations, and IT Services, ensuring concise reports for Government and TZV requirements, and serving as the primary contact for projects, change requests, and facility-related initiatives.
* Build and maintain effective relationships with internal departments, external stakeholders, ESO representatives, and contractors through strong communication skills.
* Oversee contract management, including vendor meetings, SLA/KPI management, tender specification writing, performance management, and expenditure tracking, while liaising with building owners and resolving related incidents.
About You
To be suitable for this role, you will demonstrate the following skills and experience:
* Proven breadth of knowledge and experience in project management, maintenance management, facilities management or business management.
* Highly organised with the ability to prioritise a high volume of competing demands and priorities in a highly regulated environment.
* Qualifications/knowledge or experience in building trades/building maintenance or with TZV an advantage.
* Experience in the Microsoft Office suite of tools, BSM, Incident and Change Management software, Secure Access Systems and CCTV packages.
* Ability to respond calmly and decisively to a demanding and unpredictable environment.
