The Program Manager will support the Operations Manager in the delivery of day-to-day operations of our Child Youth & Family Programs including Foster Care and Residential Care Services.
This position would suit someone who is passionate about leading and developing a team that is providing a safe and nurturing environment to children and young people in Out of Home Care using a trauma informed approach.
Familiarity with the CARE framework would be beneficial.
This position is based out of our Geraldton office and is being offered as full-time permanent position.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, lead, motivate and manage a team of House managers and Senior Residential Care WorkersOverseeing the caseloads of direct reports and providing practical support as requiredEnsure delivery of program services in accordance with program budget, local business plans and in line with client needs and plansDevelop, lead, motivate and manage a multi-disciplinary teamEnsure a consistent standard of quality is delivered for program in accordance with regulations prescribed in relevant legislation and funding agency standardsManage risks and issues arising in the course of service managementContribute positively to strategies relating to Compliance, Cultural Confidence, Practice Improvement, Carer Support, Transition PlanningSkills and ExperienceDemonstrated experience working with individuals, families and communities from a strength-based, culturally appropriate perspective that are part of the out of home care sectorDemonstrated experience working with adolescents and transition from care tasksDemonstrated experience in working within a multi-disciplinary teamDemonstrated experience in managing competing priorities and to deliver high quality outcomes within agreed timeframesA demonstrated commitment to the care and protection of clientsDemonstrated understanding of impact of trauma and attachment on children and young people and complex behavioursDemonstrated experience in team leadership and managementDemonstrated ability to manage services and programs within a budgetRecognised Human Services or other relevant qualificationSignificant experience in the child protection and out of home care sectorStrong coordination, leadership and peer support skillsHighly developed critical thinking and reflective practice skillsHigh level communication, influencing, liaison, negotiation and mediation skillsCurrent Drivers LicenceSuccessful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and Working with Children Check and DCP395.How to ApplyInclude your resume and covering letter in one document, click 'Apply' and follow the prompts.
