About the company: Paintback®, established in 2016, is an industry-led initiative designed to divert unwanted paint and packaging from ending up in landfill and vital waterways. About the role: Reporting directly to the CEO, the National Business Development Manager will play a pivotal role in driving Paintbacks growth agenda across Australia. You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, and expanding their market presence. This is an exciting opportunity for a results-driven professional with a passion for environment, sustainability, a proven track record in building strategic commercial partnerships and business growth. Key duties & responsibilities: Develop and implement a national business development strategy to achieve growth targets. Identify and pursue new business opportunities/partnerships with various sectors, including retail, construction, value chain partners and state government departments. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including partners, clients, and industry associations. Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities for expansion. Collaborate with marketing and operations teams to ensure alignment with business objectives. Prepare and present proposals and business cases to potential clients and partners. Monitor and report on market conditions and competitor activities. Key skills, qualifications & experience: Ideally be degree qualified in Business, Marketing, or a related field. Minimum of 8-10 experience in business development, preferably bringing to market a product/solution with a sustainability focus and have experience coming from a related industrial chemical or construction materials segment. You will be highly regarded if you have a strong understanding of the paint industry and waste/recycling initiatives. Proven ability to develop and execute strategic business plans. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Self-motivated with a results-oriented mindset and the ability to work independently.
