The service focuses on triage, acute assessments, risk management, and crisis intervention, alongside comprehensive case management to ensure continuity of care. This is an opportunity to work in a unique and remote environment, supporting individuals in crisis while also managing longer-term care plans. The ideal candidate will have experience working in mental health triage, acute assessment, and case management, with a commitment to delivering high-quality, client-centred care.
Key Responsibilities Conduct mental health triage, including initial crisis assessments and risk evaluations.Deliver acute crisis intervention and develop safety plans.Provide ongoing case management, ensuring continuity of care.Work within a multidisciplinary team to support clients with complex mental health needs.Liaise with hospitals, community services, and external stakeholders.Adapt to the challenges of working in a remote healthcare setting.Skills & Requirements Registered Nurse with AHPRA registration.Proven experience in mental health triage, risk assessment & crisis intervention.Strong case management and care coordination skills.Ability to work in a fast-paced hospital environment.Experience in remote/rural mental health settings (preferred).Current National Police Clearance, Working with Children Check & Vaccinations (or willingness to obtain).How to ApplyInterested in taking on a rewarding Mental Health Nurse locum role in Kununurra?
