About The Role
Exciting opportunity for technical/application support professionals to join our next generation utilities billing software division based in Brisbane.This is a key role in driving success as part of an onsite team, that is responsible for the implementation and ongoing support of billing, meter asset management and meter data management solutions for our Brisbane based client, which is Australia’s largest, wholly government-owned electricity company.
About You
Proven experience of 5 years or more, working in a support, development or technical analysis roles, with large-scale commercial clients. You are passionate about creating an impact for clients through impeccable service delivery. You will also have:
1. excellent knowledge of Unix/Linux platforms.
2. experience in Java, Bash and Perl scripting.
3. experience in API and adapter development (including use of REST and SOAP webservices).
4. experience with source code and build management tools (preferably GIT, SVN, ANT, Maven, Jenkins, BitBucket).
Key Responsibilities
5. Working with our clients to gather & document requirements; identifying the business processes, interface formats and data associated with developing technical solutions.
6. Designing and developing production customizations, configuration changes, reports, interfaces and scripts including support for deployment of new versions into testing and production environments.
7. Adhering to and enforcing the processes and standards for updates and configuration changes required to supported client environments and systems.
8. Monitoring and the delivery of key system processes, contracted SLA and performance targets for the client in a fully SaaS based solution.
9. Work with software architects and business analysts to ensure that technical requirements accurately reflect the business use case model and are reconciled with each other. Identify and report technical risks throughout the life of the project and provides mitigation strategies for those risks.
10. Provide technical and product expertise to support the client’s product configuration, data migration, acceptance testing, product integration and incident resolution processes. Working with remote development centres on issue analysis and replication. Providing maintenance programming support.
