Are you an experienced Maintenance Supervisor with a passion for leading teams and driving operational efficiency?
We're looking for a dedicated professional to join our Brickworks Plant in Wollert, Victoria. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you'll oversee the planning, coordination, and management of the Maintenance Department, ensuring optimal performance through the effective use of the Computer Maintenance Management System (MEX).
This Monday-to-Friday role offers a leadership opportunity in a dynamic manufacturing environment, where your expertise will drive production efficiency and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
1. Providing technical support and guidance to the maintenance team.
2. Ensuring compliance with Australian Standards and relevant legislation.
3. Assisting the Safety Committee in drafting, implementing, and enforcing safety procedures.
4. Maintaining an effective preventative maintenance system to minimise downtime.
5. Collaborating with the Plant Manager and Production Clerk to manage and adhere to the maintenance budget.
6. Planning major maintenance work to minimise operational disruptions and improve product changeover times.
7. Organising modifications and improvements as requested by production teams.
8. Leading and contributing to Operational Excellence initiatives, projects, and audits.
9. Coaching, developing, and training maintenance staff to enhance skills and performance.
10. Creating and managing staff rosters to ensure full attendance and minimise production downtime.
11. Liaising with the Engineering Manager and Electrical Supervisor to maintain accurate and reliable electrical manuals, drawings, and schematics for use during outages.
About You
1. A relevant Trade Certificate (essential).
2. Proven experience in a manufacturing environment.
3. Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
4. Solid working knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics.
5. Exceptional problem-solving and fault-finding abilities, with the capability to resolve and repair mechanical breakdowns.
6. Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
7. The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
8. Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities.
9. Demonstrated experience in supervising, coaching, and developing a team.
