About the Role
As a Supervisor, you will oversee and guide both in-house and contracted general building trades for Ahrens on-site. You will support the management team with various duties and administrative tasks, ensuring safe and efficient work practices at all times. Drawing on your extensive experience in the building sector, you will help enhance Ahrens' reputation as a professional construction company in the Pilbara Region. Additionally, you will play a key role in the continuous improvement of Ahrens' systems and procedures, with a strong focus on safety and quality across all operations.
Key Responsibilities
* OH&S on all Ahrens town sites and associated workshop activities
* Works scheduling and timely completion of same
* Effective and efficient use of resources and material
* Forecasting and procurement of appropriate material delivery prior to works commencing in timely manner
* Execute and complete works properly within time and budget parameters
* Effectively liaise with all stakeholders as and when required
* Provide accurate reports, quotes and other information in timely manner
* Attend and actively participate in meetings
* Encourage fellow employees to create and maintain a safe and healthy work environment and be involved in risk assessment activities;
* Co-operate with all other employees to enable the health and safety responsibilities of all employees
* Ensure all activities conducted comply with Company environmental policies and report all environmental incidents.
* Responsible for complying with the requirements of the Ahrens Risk Management and Quality Systems as they relate to assigned areas of activity
* Responsible for providing input and offering recommendations for the continuous improvement of Ahrens processes and standard procedures.
* They will expect high standards of presentation and performance in the execution of their tasks to ultimately achieve customer satisfaction
* Work closely and effectively with all other Supervisors
* Lead by example and project a positive attitude toward their work
* Willingness to accept overall responsibility for subordinates
Skills and Experience
* Residential and Commercial building maintenance practices
* Sound understanding of current trades practice
* General building construction
* Thorough understanding of building technology
* Appropriate qualifications
* Capacity to undertake multiple projects simultaneously
* Good communication skills both written and oral
* Patient and mature approach to the working environment
* Team building skills
