Junior Sous Chef Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Junior Sous Chef to join our culinary team.
Responsibilities:

* Monitor kitchen supplies, equipment, and work areas for cleanliness and functionality.
* Hire, train, and supervise cooks and other kitchen staff.
* Order and maintain inventory of food and supplies, optimizing operational efficiency.
* Enforce sanitation practices and adhere to kitchen safety protocols.
* Create visually appealing decorative food displays, showcasing culinary expertise.
* Instruct cooks on food preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation techniques.
* Requisition necessary supplies and resources to ensure smooth operation.
* Recruit and hire staff, including cooks and other kitchen workers.
* Analyse recipes to assign prices to menu items, considering food, labor, and overhead costs.
Requirements:
* Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a junior sous chef or equivalent role.
* Relevant culinary qualifications, demonstrating a strong foundation in kitchen management and cuisine expertise.
