As Network Assurance Specialist, you will ensure the safe, effective, and efficient delivery of technical support and safety advice for planned and unplanned maintenance and repairs as well as field response for incident escalation on the AusNet Electricity (Transmission and Distribution) and Gas Networks.
The nominal base location for this position is Lilydale, however we are a truly hybrid and flexible workplace so happy to discuss and explore other suitable base location depots with you.
This role will deliver real outcomes, including but not limited to: Deliver our services by demonstrating an understanding of work health safety, quality and cyber security standards and applying them to relevant activities in the workplace. Ensure compliance through actively engaging with stakeholders and maintain awareness of relevant legislation, laws, regulations, standards, codes and AusNet policies and procedures. Conduct Field Safety audits providing findings, learnings and improvements to stakeholders and Delivery Partners. Lead & Facilitate Investigations, Learning Teams and Risk Assessments. Provide regular updates, technical support, and advice on network issues and findings. Provide guidance and field support on safety and quality for field works practices and procedures. Drive and deliver significant value through improvements in key field maintenance and works practices and procedures. Develop and maintain professional relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to build safe and effective commercial partnerships. Note: The role does require travel across our depots and the occasional travel away from home.
You don't need to check every box; however, we are looking for a good combination of: Knowledge or experience in underground cable installation and cable jointing, an advantage. Knowledge or experience in contestable electricity network construction process and practices. Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings mandatory. Knowledge or experience in network auditing, an advantage. Industry experience in Construction, and Maintenance of Electricity Utilities where Safety, Quality, efficiency, and productivity have been key measures of success. Relevant Network operational experience or technical training or knowledge. Auditing or a detailed appreciation of auditing - Lead Auditor in OHS/WHS Management Systems (an advantage). Construction industry White Card (Vic). A real place to belong.
