The products are widely known in Australia and throughout the world.The Role:The Head of Commercial Operations is a pivotal leadership position responsible for shaping and executing all commercial strategies within the Australia/New Zealand (ANZ) and global regions. This senior executive will work closely with internal and external partners, driving business growth and ensuring commercial success across international markets. The role involves leading cross-functional teams and collaborating with stakeholders across various regions, all while maintaining a focus on sustainable, long-term growth. Reporting to the CEO, the Head of Commercial Operations will also play an instrumental role in driving strategic decisions, innovations, and market penetration for the company.As a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, this role carries significant responsibility and influence over the company's direction. The Head of Commercial Operations will be accountable for delivering on key performance metrics, including revenue growth, market share expansion, and profitability, while ensuring the operational excellence of the company's commercial processes and systems. This role also requires board reporting to provide regular updates on business performance, strategy implementation, and future opportunities.Key Responsibilities:Commercial Strategy Development: Develop and lead the execution of comprehensive commercial strategies across the ANZ region and key international markets. Collaborate with regional leaders to identify growth opportunities and align strategies with market needs, product capabilities, and organisational goals.Stakeholder Management: Build and nurture long-term, collaborative relationships with key partners in international markets, including customers, distributors, and stakeholders. In Australia, work closely with internal teams and external partners to optimize commercial outcomes and ensure alignment with market trends and customer needs.Sales Performance: Drive the achievement of annual sales targets for both ANZ and global markets, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic goals. This includes monitoring market dynamics and adjusting strategies to respond to changing business conditions.Operational Excellence: Lead the development and continuous improvement of commercial systems, processes, policies, and infrastructure. Ensure that operational performance consistently meets or exceeds expectations, driving efficiency, scalability, and effectiveness across markets.Marketing Strategy & Execution: Oversee the creation of a global marketing strategy, including the identification of key geographical markets, market segments, and sales channels. Develop tailored promotional activities and plans that align with patient needs and market conditions to ensure effective market penetration.Leadership & Team Development: Foster a high-performance work culture that attracts, retains, and motivates top talent. Lead by example, ensuring that a positive and ethical work environment is cultivated at all levels. Uphold the company's values, ensuring compliance with regulations and fostering trust with internal and external stakeholders.Your Profile:Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Business, or Social Sciences. An MBA or equivalent graduate degree is highly desirable but not essential.Professional Experience: A proven track record as a senior leader within global commercial operations, with at least 8+ years of experience in marketing, sales, business development, or related functions within the pharmaceutical or scientific industry.Global Exposure: Demonstrated experience working across multiple international markets, with a strong understanding of the nuances of global business operations, market dynamics, and cultural sensitivities.Leadership Capabilities: Strong leadership skills, with a history of driving cross-functional teams to achieve strategic goals. Experience in developing and mentoring high-performance teams is essential.Strategic and Financial Acumen: Ability to think strategically, develop comprehensive plans, and execute them effectively.
