About the role
We are seeking an experienced IT Network Engineer with a track record of architecture, design, SD-Wan, routing, varying network environments as well as perimeter security and more. You will be responsible for the uptime and availability of IT networks systems and services, as well as others as they may arise and be involved in varying aspects of networking and infrastructure to say the least. At times you may also be involved with virtualization, server hardware, Windows infrastructure, and security.
In this role, you will need a thorough knowledge of IT networking infrastructure as an engineer. This is a “hands-on” role.
Duties & Responsibilities

2. Ensure network uptime as a priority
3. Design, architecture, implementation of network infrastructure and services, routing, switching, wired, wireless, SD-Wan, other
4. Maintaining server infrastructure, virtualisation, and backup environments
5. Involved in design, architecture, implementation, configuration, and maintenance of IT infrastructure, whilst ensuring uptime
6. Configure and maintain Microsoft Infrastructure and services
7. Prepare and test security measures and D.R.
8. Ensure systems availability and uptime
9. Incident resolution
10. Monitor systems and network performance and integrity
11. Maintain technical documentation
12. Communicate with Team members as required
13. Suggest improvements to IT systems, performance, capacity, scalability, maintenance, etc.
14. At times you will be involved in all areas of IT and may be involved in other aspects of work at the organisation
Skills & Experience
15. Experience as an IT Network Engineer
16. Experience in enterprise networking, architecture, and design
17. Experience with firewalls and perimeter security
18. Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring, and analysis tools
19. Experience with server hardware & virtualisation an advantage
20. Experience with Microsoft Infrastructure an advantage
21. Experience with cyber security an advantage
22. A good communicator, verbal and written
23. Sharp troubleshooting skills, incident, and problem resolution
24. Well presented, a 'team player' attitude and passionate about IT, with the ability to work independently when required
25. Professional certifications / IT Degree
26. Ability to broaden your skillset
