How will I help?
This role exists to support both the Major Investigations and Data & Reporting teams within Financial Crime Surveillance that deliverspliance and customer oues across all Westpac Group brands.
The key to this role's success within the Major Investigation & Partnerships team is being a Subject Matter Expert and thought leader on all AML typologies, legislation, policies, and associated frameworks. Theernance Manager ensures team members are following Westpac Group protocol, policies and procedures whenpleting all tasks, whilst also identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
Theernance Manager also plays an integral role in delivering reporting and though publications to provide risk insights and enhancement opportunities to the wider FCS team. The role is also responsible for leading the FCS Data & Reporting Team which assists the broader business with providing daily, weekly and monthly operational reporting, in addition to managing User Defined Applications (UDAs) which support the operations of the teams. The role is responsible for leading and delivering strategic and simplification initiatives across the business through use of data, automation and reporting.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
4. Provide leadership of the Data & Reporting function and associated business requirements
5. Create and lead a culture across the onshore and offshore team that places the customer at the centre of all business decisions
6. Management of incident and issue management frameworks
7. Contribute to the development of service level agreements for service providers and business partners
8. Ensure adherence and effective controls are in place for all financial, regulatory andpliance requirements to minimise potential loss. Eg. AuDM/ SOX, BCP/ BIA
9. Satisfactory audit ratings across functional responsibilities as measured by both internal and external auditors.
10. Support the AML Investigation and Data & Reporting Teams ensuring they demonstrate an understanding, awareness and application of all agreedpliance standards including participation in riskernance activities
11. Day to day management and people leader responsibilities of the Data & Reporting team, including motivating and developing the team
12. Partner with operational stakeholders on intelligence/investigations matters to gather necessary information for effective intel analysis and output
13. Supporting the development & implementation of the FCS strategy
14. Conducting research and analysis of operational effectiveness, processes, stakeholders, etc.
15. Aligning departmental goals, processes, and resource allocation with the FCS strategy

What do I need?
16. Experience in Financial Crime Management including Fraud, Anti Money Laundering / Counter Terrorism Finance
17. Demonstrated experience in managing teams with a strong focus on engagement
18. Exposure to SQL desirable
19. Ability to utilise business metrics to manage operations and drive efficiency
20. Demonstrated experience in relationship management for internal stakeholders
21. Experience inernmental or law enforcement investigations and intelligence teams
