This is a fantastic opportunity to hit the ground running and be part of a friendly, fast-paced team. The role will also have the opportunity to take on some paralegal tasks.Our Perth General Insurance team sits within our national General Insurance section, with around 180 team members nationally. We provide general insurance advice to insurers, reinsurers and corporates, and we sit on the legal panels of three of Australia’s top four general insurers. We also assist the Firm’s Disputes Resolution team.You will be responsible for:Telephone handling for the team;Preparation of monthly billing;Managing client file maintenance for the team;Coordinating all outgoing mail to be signed, compiled, and delivered to the mailroom;Basic research for the team;Maintaining Partners/lawyers’ contacts in our firm CRM InterAction, including assisting with list management on their behalf for events and communications;Liaising with internal and external stakeholders; courts, clients and other parties;Drafting of documentation as required;Preparing documents and briefs as required; andOther ad-hoc administration duties as required.About youYou will ideally have the following skills and experience:Minimum one year experience in a similar role;Paralegal experience is desirable;Experience in a busy insurance litigation practice is desirable;Highly organised;Excellent communication skills;A strong ability to prioritise and meet deadlines;Experience in using legal billing system and client management program (e.g., Aderant would be desirable but not required); andExperience in using document management system (e.g., iManage 10 would be desirable but not required).About usHall & Wilcox is a leading independent Australian law firm.
