Role Purpose:The ICT Technician's role is to support all users, workstations, printers, and network infrastructure.Qualification Requirements:Matric CertificateA+/N+ CertificationExperience Requirements:3 years experience in an IT support environmentExposure to Marele equipment will be an advantageComputer Literacy in using:Microsoft Office SuiteWindows 10McAfeeExpertise in:HP, Dell and IBM computer hardwareNetworkingSwitches: HP & ArubaLabel PrintersExposure to wireless communication and securityMain Responsibilities (although not limited to):Set up workstations with computers and necessary peripheral devices (routers, printers, etc.).Check computer hardware (HDD, mouses, keyboards, etc.) to ensure functionality.Supporting shop floor equipment and software in the factory.Install and configure appropriate software and functions according to specifications.Installing and configuring hardware and software components to ensure usability.Providing user support and being the first point of contact for error reporting.Organize and schedule upgrades and maintenance without deterring others from completing their work.Maintain records/logs of repairs and fixes and maintenance schedule.Troubleshooting hardware and software issues and ensuring electrical safety standards are met.Conduct daily backup operations and manage technical documentation.Ensure the security and privacy of networks and computer systems.Provide orientation and guidance to users on how to operate new software and computer equipment.Identify computer or network equipment shortages and place orders.Ensure the confidentiality and reliability of intellectual property.Basic understanding and implementation of the 20 keys concept.
