QPain is a long established, multidisciplinary specialist pain management practice, offering a wide range of management options to our patients. Our Specialists see patients from Brisbane all the way up to the Capricorn Coast. We have an exciting new opportunity for an enthusiastic Registered or Enrolled Nurse to join our fast-paced practice.
The Practice Nurse is a key role within the practice that provides a high standard of quality nursing care through efficient, effective, safe and timely services to our patients. You will exercise significant levels of initiative in the direct coordination and implementation of care. You will demonstrate commitment to personal and professional development and ensure a high level of customer service is always maintained. You will effectively communicate good interpersonal relationships within and outside of the practice. All documentation and administration responsibilities will conform to legal and practice policy requirements. You will be working along side our current Practice Nurses, Pain Physicians, Practice Manager and Administration Team.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor of Nursing and current and unrestricted registration with AHPRA or a Diploma of Nursing;
Current National Police Check;
Previous experience in pain management or preoperative medicine is highly regarded but not essential.
Genie practice management software experience highly regarded, with high computer literacy;
Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
Excellent time management and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
Your clinical responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, patient assessment, assisting medical practitioners with procedures, health promotion and education, referral of patients to allied health services, pre and post-operative phone calls, liaising with other medical practitioners and practices, wound management and the administration of IV medication;
Maintain patient documentation in a clinically effective manner, and in accordance with practice policy and procedures;
Perform your duties in a professional manner and in accordance with regulatory standards and guidelines;
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team;
Advanced problem solving skills to enable the resolution of difficult or complex issues;
Excellent organisational skills, with a high level of attention to detail;
Willingness to attend education and professional development workshops and conferences;
A flexible and motivated attitude.
