Play a crucial role in shaping the governance framework of a vibrant and diverse organisation.About the Role:As the Governance Manager, you will be pivotal in supporting the Board and key internal stakeholders, shaping the organisation’s strategy and output. You will oversee governance requirements, ensure compliance, drive policy and process improvements, support company secretary duties, develop effective Board papers, and manage delegation policies and constitutional matters. Additionally, you will collaborate with stakeholder groups, acting as an intermediary for inter-group priorities and goals.Key Responsibilities:Provide direct support to the Board and representatives.Support company secretary duties, including maintaining records, facilitating meetings, and ensuring compliance with governance requirements.Ensure the organisation meets all governance and compliance obligations.Oversee the administration and enhancement of policies and procedures, focusing on continuous improvement.Maintain and update delegation policies, the organisation’s governance framework, and other governance documentation.Identify and implement improvements in governance policies and procedures.Work with key stakeholders to enhance transparency, accountability, and efficiency across the organisation.Manage risk assessment and mitigation strategies in alignment with organisational goals.Manage the operations of student councils.Support student development and leadership within council roles.Lead and ensure a fair, transparent, and supportive approach to conflict resolution and issue management.Experience Required:Essential: A background in governance, law, HR, or a related field, with experience in supporting Boards and fulfilling company secretary duties.
