About the role
We are looking for an experienced Desktop Support Specialist to be responsible for providing level 2 support to the client.
About you
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Windows Support:
* Provide support for Windows 10/11 systems, including installation, configuration, and basic troubleshooting.
Software Installation:
* Install and troubleshoot software on user computers, ensuring smooth operation and resolving issues promptly.
Printer Support:
* Install and troubleshoot Canon printers, ensuring proper setup and connectivity.
Network Support:
* Perform network patch cabling in Communications Rooms, including connections to patch panels.
Stakeholder Communication:
* Serve as a liaison between IT and the business, effectively communicating technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.
Incident Management:
* Utilize Incident/Request Management systems to manage and resolve support tickets efficiently (Level 2 Support).
Requirements:
* Strong exposure to Windows 10/11 operating systems.
* Experience in software installation and basic troubleshooting.
* Knowledge of printer installation (specifically Canon) and troubleshooting.
* Familiarity with network patch cabling and Coms Room setups.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Experience with Incident/Request Management systems for ticket management and closure
* Some after-hours and weekend work may be required as directed by the ICT Lead Site Coordinator.
