Working with institutional investors, banks, insurance companies, governments and multinational corporations, Markets & Securities Services offers a range of fund administration, global custody sub-custody and clearing services.The Fund Services Team is a client focused business, servicing Asset Owners and Asset Managers.
Asset Owners include Life Insurance Funds, Sovereign Wealth Funds and Superannuation Funds and Asset Managers supporting those Mutual Funds and Trusts.The team has extensive interaction with Securities Services Clients and internal teams across Securities Services including colleagues from across Fund Services, Custody, Client Services, Product and other internal group functions to include key stakeholders across the region.
We provide consistently high levels of service to our clients and operational efficiency in the funds service offerings, namely: Accounting and Valuations, Regulatory Reporting, Tax Services and Transfer Agency.Your main responsibilities will include:Delivering a consistently high standard of client services to fund managers and institutional clients.Continuously enhancing our services to clients to deepen relationships, taking advantage of the ongoing technological and system advances of the Fund Services offering.Embracing HSBC University approach to personal development to constantly challenge and uplift professional development.Ensuring the efficient ongoing administration of funds under administration and ensure compliance of provisions as defined in the funds documents.Ensuring all funds activities are delivered accurately and in a timely manner.Ensuring all regulatory activities are completed including distribution calculations, BAS return completion and the review and delivery of Financial Statements.Working with our projects team to continually improve the systems and processes that underpin unit pricing and valuations, distributions calculations, BAS returns and data provisioning to clients.Assisting to formulate and meet tight deadlines and targets, and achieve service level standards agreed with clients.Negotiating with external auditors for completion of the annual account audit of clients' funds.Being aware of the Operational Risk scenarios associated with your role and acting accordingly.RequirementsWorking experience in Fund Accounting, Financial Reporting and Tax, with experience and understanding of the administration of unit trusts, investment accounting, valuation, distribution calculations, tax returns and statutory financial accounting.A genuine client focus with strong interpersonal skills providing the ability to develop and maintain strong internal and external client relationships and negotiate effectively.Strong analytical, project management and problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.A university degree in accounting or related discipline, with a CA/ CPA qualification an advantage but not essential.Preference will be given to candidates who hold Australian PR/Citizenship or New Zealand Citizenship, or who can demonstrate current unrestricted work rights in Australia without limitations.We value different perspectives, we succeed together, collaborating across boundaries, we take responsibility, holding ourselves accountable to get things done.
