Contract until June 2025 with possibility of extension | Canberra Location | APS6: $61.08 - $68.68 per hour plus 11.5% superannuation | EL1: $76.06 - $85.08 per hour plus 11.5% superannuation
OVERVIEW
Our Federal Government client is currently seeking an experienced Security and Professional Development Officer to join their team at the APS6/EL1 level. Within this role you will work with stakeholders to design the department’s technical security professional capability framework, prepare and deliver the technical security training suite, and create an implementation and communication plan for the launch of our technical security professional development framework.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
* Design, develop and deliver security training specifically related to technical and operational security.
* Develop a Technical Security Professional Development Framework.
* Identify and implement innovative approaches to building technical and operational security capability across the Department.
* Oversee the scheduling and delivery timetable of technical security training including engagement and booking of training providers.
* Drawing on a broad cross-section of information, review and modify security training content to ensure it addresses emerging security risks, remains current with the department's Security Framework, uses adult learning principles and considers and applies to our diverse staffing profile.
* Review and refine existing processes and procedures to ensure an efficient and effective operating model for technical security training.
* Prepare briefing material and policy guidance to support the training framework.
EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENTS
* Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is essential.
* Security training development, coordination and capability building experience.
* Possess high level initiative and judgment.
* Previous experience in technical security would be highly advantageous.
* Have the ability to develop innovative approaches to security training and delivery, and lead the design of security training frameworks and training materials.
