The Role
We are seeking someone who can build a rapport with our local school community and identify services that both students and families’ need. The successful applicant should be able to work collaboratively with the student services team to meet the needs of all children and families at the school. A key element of this role is the coordination of breakfast club, school volunteers and after school enrichment programs.
The Social Worker should meet one-on-one with individual students to work on any problems students may be having including peer relationships, behaviour problems, problems in the community, at home or in school. The successful applicant should be able to display efficient and effective time management and case management skills, effective interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communication skills, alongside engaging with hard to reach families and children, and effective negotiation and problems solving skills.

Eligibility

9. Demonstrated strong conceptual and analytical skills with the ability to identify and clarify issues and problems, generate strategies or resources to address them and evaluate the effectiveness of them.
10. Demonstrated knowledge of school systems and operations and skills in working individually or a multi-disciplinary team setting.
11. Demonstrated experience in project and case management.
