SEO Executive
THE ROLE
Havas Media Australia's Sydney team is on the look-out for a talented SEO Executive to join our rapidly expanding media team. You will ideally have some experience in a digital/media environment, ideally in SEO. You will be mentored and trained in SEO by more senior team members, so a passion and willingness to learn and grow will be essential.
The SEO Executive is responsible for achieving organic search results through a performance lead content strategy. The SEO Executive will assist with the creation, implementation and ongoing optimisation of content for a range of clients, assisted by Havas Media’s SEO technology platforms to ensure best practice is always in place.
The role requires excellent copywriting skills, as well as some knowledge and experience in SEO. You will help maintain quality and standards across advanced content optimisations for a range of clients. The SEO Executive will need to demonstrate effectiveness and drive in prioritising tasks, managing workload and ensuring value in delivery. Communication, relationship management and other client facing skillsets will be important skillsets for this role.
The successful applicant will work with other SEO specialists to ensure successful delivery of holistic organic search activities. As such, interest and capacity to understand technical and link building elements of SEO are essential, as well as proactivity in providing actionable recommendations and producing result generating work.
The role requires enthusiasm for driving results, a collaborative mindset, and a desire to constantly evolve our approach to drive meaningful growth for clients.
Day to day, your role will involve the following core responsibilities:
1. Creating professionally written, keyword optimised landing page copy
2. Discovering and writing to behavioural insights to improve site engagement
3. Optimising images for descriptive, keyword-led file names, alt tags – while ensuring image quality and compression
4. Develop and improve client facing templates
5. Monitor competitor content activities
6. Support the team with technical and link-building activities when required
7. Optimise performance content and on-page recommendations
8. Keep on top of content trends and recommend application to client activities
9. Monitor success of optimised content via Google Analytics & other reporting tools
10. Local SEO campaign experience is advantages
11. Proactively find and recommend effective SEO solutions to your manager
To succeed in this role, you will ideally have/be:
12. Team player to ensure that you can build and work across number of internal & external stakeholders harmoniously
13. Experience in media/digital, ideally in SEO
14. Good understanding of the operational approach of digital marketing campaigns outside of SEO
15. Ability to update websites via CMS
16. Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
17. Solid interpersonal and teamwork abilities
18. Ability to build a nd strengthen client relationships
19. Demonstrable critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
20. Strong analytical abilities
