Senior Electrical Designer Role Responsibilities: Perform discipline specific services: Prepare/assist and oversee the production of engineering drawings and documentation.Participate in peer reviews, interdisciplinary reviews, model reviews and consult relevant resources as required.Contribute to the development and improvement of project design systems, processes, practices and procedures.Initiate, manage and supervise, design and drafting assignments with the Workshare team; manage coordination on a regular basis as required to effectively undertake the design.Assist in scoping requirements and estimating design budget in response to requests from Lead/project team.Communicate effectively and regularly with the project Lead, engineers, other discipline design teams, Workshare team and Project Engineers/Managers on design progress, technical matters, workshare and resource planning.Ability to coach, mentor and guide junior designers.Experience & Qualifications: A recognised design qualification (Advanced Diploma) in the relevant discipline.Must have Brownfield experience.Relevant years of experience in designing and drafting with at recently experience in oil and gas refinery.Demonstrated knowledge of hazardous areas with formal training a distinct advantage.Experience with Smart Plant Electrical (SPEL),AVEVA 3D modelling packages, (S3D or E3D),Lighting design software (DIALux, AGi32).Experienced, competent user of CAD software such as AutoCAD, Microstation (2D & 3D).Competent in the use of relevant software such as MS Office Suite, PDF Exchange, Bluebeam.Selection of electrical equipment (lighting & small power, control & wiring devices, enclosures).Proven experience in designing electrical deliverables such as: Single line diagrams – HV and LV, Three-line Diagrams.Schematics for panels such as incomers, feeders, VSDs and motor starters.Cable schedules.Material take offs / BoM.Electrical equipment layouts, Switchroom layouts, Earthing layouts, Lighting and Small Power layouts, Hazard area layouts.Earthing diagrams, Key interlocking diagrams, Termination diagrams.Primary and secondary schematics.Panel general arrangements.For more information on the role, the client or the project please click 'APPLY NOW' or contact Melanie Chalwell, on 0448 147 259 or email ******
