POSITION SUMMARY The Civil team at MLEI caters to a diverse range of markets, including Land Development, Infrastructure, Utilities, Building Civils, Resource sector, and Industrial projects. The ideal candidate will have the chance to navigate through an exciting growth period and contribute to the delivery of some of MLEI's significant projects. Additionally, this role offers the opportunity to support the broader national MLEI operation throughout Australia. RESPONSIBILITIES Support the delivery of various (and concurrent) infrastructure projects, including roads and subdivisions across Australia Undertake multi-facet engineering projects including drainage, roadworks, earthwork, services etc whilst leveraging experience in 12d design across various sectors Apply advanced first principles and understanding of standards and guidelines Communicate effectively with management staff, peers, clients, and stakeholders Supervise technical officers to ensure project scheduling and delivery Utilise engineering design using tools such as AutoCAD, DRAINS, 12d, and AutoTurn Assist the delivery of projects successfully, ensuring cost, quality and efficiency control Ensure compliance with quality, environmental, health, and safety processes including AS/NZS ISO9001 and ISO 45001 Ensure quality assurance of work before final delivery. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Bachelor or Masters of Engineering in Civil/Structural with 3+ years of Australian engineering experience, including Local Government, State Government, and Defence projects Experience in sectors such as transportation, water, urban development, and utilities Sound engineering judgment in design and development solutions Ability to identify, assess, and mitigate project risks Familiarity with civil engineering software (eg 12d, DRAINS, AutoCAD and AutoTurn). SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES Excellent IT, mathematics, and science skills including first principal engineer computations Exceptional skills in formulating design plans and ideas, with the ability to analyse large data sets Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for preparing reports, presentations, and technical documents Strong collaboration skills and ability to communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
