You will Act as the Maintenance Services point of contact for the administration and delivery of planned and reactive maintenance, conduct of minor works, procurement of minor contracts and contractor engagement across planned and corrective maintenance areas in the delivery of timely and efficient services for Facilities Management across the University; Ensure scheduled works are completed on time, within budget, to the required quality standards and in compliance with workplace health and safety requirements; and Collaborate with colleagues, contractors and clients to ensure reliable and efficient maintenance services are provided across the organisation. About you You have excellent administrative skills, with intermediate to advanced proficiency in the MS Office suite and experience using electronic and digital systems like maintenance management systems, databases, and spreadsheets. Your well-developed communication and interpersonal skills enable you to build rapport and collaborate effectively with colleagues, clients, contractors, and suppliers. You’re also highly organised, with strong planning, time management, and problem-solving abilities that help you thrive in fast-paced environments, prioritising tasks and meeting deadlines with ease. You will possess: Completion of a diploma combined with relevant work experience in building services, maintenance and compliance, or construction contract management or related area or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training. Extensive and demonstrable experience in the delivery of maintenance, and facilities management services in a large, commercial, and complex work environment including quality management skills and the ability to monitor, evaluate and report on service delivery. High level of contractor governance experience required, including an understanding of public liability, health and safety, general insurances, safe work method statements, contractor inductions, and site introductions. Experience in financial expenditure and budget reconciliation (Additionally, experience in developing packages of work for tender, reporting and budget management will be highly regarded) knowledge and understanding of relevant HSW legislation and practical application in the workplace. Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position, including the scoping and visual checking of maintenance works and doing so in a safe manner; adhering to manual handling guidelines and undertaking tasks in accordance with workplace health and safety regulations.
