Dental Hygienist Embrace Orthodontists Pty Ltd – Canberra's #1 Invisalign provider, led by the renowned Dr. Spiro Pazios, is seeking a skilled and experienced Dental Hygienist, Technician, or Therapist to join our exceptional team in Canberra.If you are passionate about Orthodontics and preventative dental care and enjoy working in a dynamic environment, we want to hear from you!Position Description: Conduct oral health assessments and develop personalised care plans for patients.Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with clinical protocols and standards.Stay updated with the latest advancements in oral health therapy and dental hygiene practices.Collaborate with the dental team to ensure a seamless and positive patient experience.Provide educational programs to motivate children, parents, and the community on the importance of oral health.Perform preventative dental procedures under the supervision of an Orthodontist.Administer fluoride therapy by applying remineralising solutions and desensitising agents.Remove deposits from teeth to maintain oral hygiene.Apply non-invasive fissure sealants to teeth.Take impressions of the mouth for orthodontic appliances.Perform dental radiographs (X-rays) to assist in diagnosis.Administer local anaesthesia via infiltration and mandibular nerve block.Fabricate retainers, ensuring a precise fit.Construct custom mouth guards and retainers. To be successful, candidates will have the following attributes: Bachelor's degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma in Oral Health Therapy or Dental Hygiene from an accredited institution.Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role preferred.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in clinical work.Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.Commitment to continuous professional development and learning.On-the-job training may be required in some instances.
