The Western Health Paediatric Cardiology Service is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Cardiac Sonographer to join a busy and growing Paediatric service within the Joan Kirner Women's & Children's building.
This is a fixed term, leave cover position for 2 months commencing in July 2025.
The Paediatric Cardiology Service is part of the Division of Women's & Children's Health and provides inpatient and outpatient Fetal and Paediatric Cardiology services.
These services include echocardiography, ECG, Holter monitoring and exercise stress testing for both outpatient clinics and inpatients in the Paediatric ward and Special Care Nursery.
Duties:
The Paediatric Cardiac Sonographer plays an integral role supporting the paediatric cardiology service performing paediatric inpatient and outpatient echocardiograms, Holter monitor application and removal. The successful applicant must be able to work independently in all aspects of paediatric echocardiography and demonstrate professional accountability in their area of expertise.
Exercise stress testing and Holter monitor interpretation expertise is preferable, but not essential.
To be successful in this role the following is essential:
* Post Graduate Diploma in Cardiac Ultrasound, DMU or QUT equivalent.
* Current ASAR accreditation.
* Experience in Paediatric Cardiac Echocardiography.
* Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and autonomously in a multidisciplinary team.
* Commitment to providing quality care under a Best Care framework.
* Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development and professional accountability.
