* Part-time (0.6 FTE) contract role until 30 June 2025.

About One Door Mental Health:
One Door Mental Health (ODMH) is a NFP and leading for-purpose service provider dedicated to supporting individuals living with mental illness, as well as their families and carers.
About the role:
This position works within the Primary Integrated Care Supports (PICS) program, which offers evidence-based mental health interventions, linking clients to primary health and psychosocial supports tailored to meet the individual needs of those experiencing severe mental illness. PICS is delivered by a team of experienced and credentialed mental health nurses and peer workers.
Role responsibilities:
As a Mental Health Nurse, you will work part-time in a supportive team to provide clinical care, coordinate with peers, and develop collaborative care plans. You will also:
* Accept referrals and conduct thorough assessments on each referral.
* Deliver high-quality, culturally appropriate care to individuals with severe and enduring mental illness.
* Establish and maintain therapeutic relationships with a proactive recovery-oriented approach.
* Include families, kinship groups, and carers in the care process where appropriate and with consent.
* Coordinate comprehensive holistic assessments and support individuals in accessing necessary treatments.
* Collaborate with various support services and stakeholders to meet individual needs effectively.
Essential Requirements:
To succeed in the role, you will be a natural communicator with a passion for person-centred care. You will also have:
* Credentials with the Australian College of Mental Health Nurses (or working towards credentialing within 12 months).
* At least 5 years’ experience as a mental health nurse, ideally within a community setting.
* Experience working with GPs and community-based psychiatrists.
* Ability to work both autonomously and within a team environment.
* Flexibility and creativity in supporting individuals.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Valid National Police Record Check, Working with Children Check and NDIS Workers Clearance.
