Your role at St John of God Bunbury Hospital
As Ward Clerk you will be responsible for providing reception and support to the ward in general. You will be responsible for maintaining patient records as well as carrying out specific clerical duties whilst ensuring an accurate record of current bed occupancy is maintained.
The role is offered on a Permanent Part Time basis, working 7 hours every Friday.
The Position:
* Collects and welcomes new patients from Admissions and escorts to the ward.
* Notifies Admissions Clerk and Catering of all patient discharges, transfers and deaths as soon as possible.
* Liaises with nursing staff in organising patient transport where necessary.
* Presents a pleasant, courteous and professional approach when attending to the reception of all ward visitors.
* Maintains stock level of stationery by ordering for all ward team members.
* Photocopies and faxes material as requested by Nursing Unit Manager/Access Manager.
* Ensures all patients have a Medical Record.
* Collates medical records and ensures all documentation is completed and signed.
You will have demonstrated computer skills and literacy as a competent user of Outlook, Internet Explorer and all Microsoft Office applications. You will possess strong organisational skills and the ability to thrive under pressure, managing multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail and confidentiality.
To succeed you will demonstrate the ability to work effectively and harmoniously within the multi-disciplinary healthcare team. You will also provide high-quality customer service, supported by well-developed verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

* Salary: $66,608 to $71,901, (pro rata) plus 11.5% superannuation.
