Key Responsibilities:
o Diagnose and report on communication and swallowing disorders, organise and implement treatment for participants, and work with staff and families/caregivers on possible intervention strategies.
o Advocating for communication support for participants with communication difficulties.
o Providing mealtime management plans and helping to improve mealtimes.
o Select and utilise appropriate evidence-based practices and service delivery methods and review regularly.
Requirements:
o Professional qualification in Speech Pathology with an active membership of Speech Pathology Australia, or a willingness to attain it.
o Knowledge of NDIS and participant/family centred practices is desirable
o Current driver’s licence
o National Police Check (no older than 3 months)
o Current or ability to apply for Working with Vulnerable People Card/NDIS Worker Screening Check
