KEY SELECTION CRITERIA Qualifications / Experience Certificate IV or higher in Leisure & Health or Diversional Therapy (Desirable), Minimum Cert III in Aged Care (PCA), (or willing to undertake) and willing to undertake studies in Leisure and Health or equivalent Annual Basic Life Support Certificate. Experience in Residential Aged Care is desirable. Specialist Expertise Highly developed interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, carers, staff and others. Ability to demonstrate a person-centered approach to their work with residents Demonstrate an ability to work within a Multidisciplinary team, and provide flexibility when working with residents with a variety of physical, behavioural and cognitive needs Knowledge of the Montessori philosophy or equivalent resident-centered care program and how this changes the provision of care to residents. Demonstrate an ability to develop and review Resident Care Plans. Demonstrated evidence of commitment to ongoing education and professional development to ensure working within current scope of practice.
