We are constantly learning, embracing the challenges of today and excited by the opportunities that tomorrow will bring.The roleWe’re looking for a SCADA Project Engineer to join our Operational Technology team, reporting into the WRP Automation Team leader and working alongside the Treatment Plants SCADA Commissioning Engineer. This role is instrumental in supporting our operators with day-to-day tasks and overseeing the delivery of major and minor SCADA projects for treatment plant control systems. Covering all project phases from planning to implementation, handover, and ongoing support, the role plays a critical part in managing frequent upgrades at South East Water's treatment plants without disrupting normal operations.Who are you?You have at least 5 years of experience in control networks and SCADA environments, and a bachelor’s degree in engineering in Electrical, Mechatronics, system, and control, or related discipline.With a focus on integration and reliability and strong analytics skills, you ensure seamless incorporation of upgrades into the SCADA platform while minimising operational impact. Your attention to detail coupled with problem-solving skills mean you’re competent in troubleshooting and developing detailed project designs to complete tasks in a timely manner for critical systems.This role holds significant influence over the operations of SEW's treatment plants, requiring practical experience in GE PLC Programming and GeoSCADA Application Development, and ideally PLC / RTU programming in the utilities industry. Knowledge in Brodersen, Kingfisher, Schneider, and Siemens products is preferred.Your strong communication skills mean you can collaborate effectively with engineering staff, contractors, internal stakeholders, and operators, offering expertise and support on SCADA and control systems.
