The Opportunity Newly created role due to new project awarded, and a healthy pipeline of upcoming work. This is an opportunity for you to grow and shape your team. Key responsibilities: Supervise all site activities allocated to construction team members, ensuring safe working practices in accordance with client safety systems and processes. Allocating Labour & Plant resources as per projects requirements Assisting construction Manager with planning of works, cost tracking and quality management Ensure delivery of works is carried out to a set program and Milestone deadlines Provide input in to the estimate of ‘costs of construction’ for allocated projects in terms of labour, materials and costs Quantify, control, receipt and issue of materials required for the timely completion of projects Coordinate, prepare and liaise with appropriate colleagues in order to commission new works and alterations to existing systems Monitor construction practices to ensure the quality of construction work is of a high standard Develop & Deliver pre-start briefings/toolboxes Undertake special tasks and investigations and make recommendations on matters as directed by management Ensure manufacture or construction, quality, timely completion, inspection and reporting of non-conformances for each project are carried out as defined in the Construction Management Plan Control progress in accordance with the project program, and preparation of progress reports Control project costs and accuracy of contract reviews Support the contract administration of the project Identify and advise Project Manager and Project Engineer on project staff training needs Seek continuous improvement in productivity Assist with on-the-job training and development of staff to ensure necessary technical skills are maintained Deliver construction site induction training to construction site staff and contactors Develop Emergency evacuation systems for construction sites Ensure that all contractors have completed relevant induction program Ensure contractors plant & equipment meets project requirements. Ensure regular workplace inspections are carried out and hazards identified are effectively controlled. Ensure all commercial issues are closely tracked and reported with established processes Ideal attributes The following Ideal attributes are highly desired, but if you do not tick all the boxes, you could still be a great fit.
