CQUEnglish is a NEAS Quality Endorsed centre and offers courses in English for Academic Purposes for adult learners on pathways into CQUniversity degree programs. Our students benefit from our drive for excellence in learning and teaching in a supportive and friendly environment.
CQUEnglishis currently seeking expressions of interest from qualified and experienced English Language Teaching professionals to join our team at our Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne Metropolitan Campus locations. Appointments will be offered on a casual contract basis.
Our next program intake will begin on Monday 18 November 2024. We have several intakes throughout every year and casual academic staff are contracted based on student enrolments for each intake.
Please note this vacancy is a casual pool only. You will only be contacted if appropriate casual work becomes available.
Position Requirements
5. 3-year full-time degree or equivalent. (Essential)
6. Recognised TESOL certificate (100 contact hours + at least six hours supervised and assessed practice teaching in TESOL) or a degree/diploma in education with TESOL method. (Essential)
7. At least 2 years’ full-time equivalent English Language teaching experience, preferably at a recognised and quality endorsed Australian institution.
8. Experience teaching English for Academic Purposes courses. (Desirable)
9. Proven ability teaching English as a second language in a multi-cultural classroom.
10. Experience teaching in online environments. (Desirable)
11. Excellent communication skills (written and oral) and an ability to lead and work within teams.
12. A strong commitment to a customer-service based approach to education provision.
13. Willingness to actively participate in professional development and contribute positively to a culture of continuous learning.
