Your role at St John of God Geelong Hospital
To provide Supply Services to the St John of God Geelong Hospital. Picking, packing and despatching of orders, servicing stores and the receipting and distribution of incoming goods to the wards and departments.
The Position
* Acceptance and checking of goods received at the Hospital Supply Store.
* Assist with the unloading of goods when required using appropriate materials handling aids/equipment - Electric/Manual Pallet Mover, Trolleys etc.
* Check incoming goods against the couriers/carriers running sheet or consignment notes for consignee details, quantity and condition of parcels.
* Distribution of direct supply goods to the wards & departments within the Hospital.
* Accurately receipting orders in the computerised supply system and processing/filing paperwork/documentation such as packing slip/invoices and receipt reports.
* Adherence at all times to the scanning and replenishment procedures.
* Ordering supplies for wards & departments within the SJG Hospital Geelong campus using a scanning device to record required replenishment quantities.
* Deliver orders to the wards & departments within the SJG Hospital Geelong campus to replenish stock.
* Adherence at all times to the housekeeping and stock maintenance procedures.
* Maintain the store, receiving and despatch bays and other work areas in a clean, tidy & safe condition.
* Cleaning of vehicles, equipment, fixtures and shelving, floor areas, distribution tubs, trolleys and manual handling devices (ladders, steps etc.) as per cleaning schedules.
* Assist in ensuring correct display, storage and security of inventory.
* Physical counting and recording of stock as per the stock-take policy and procedure as directed.
You will have demonstrated experience using computers for data entry with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail to ensure a quality service. You will hold a current driver's license with the physical capability to perform all Storeperson functions for the duties required with excellent personal presentation and a strong work ethic.
To succeed you will have the ability to multi-task and maintain performance at a high level within allocated time schedules while demonstrating an understanding for confidentiality. To contribute to team success, you will be a team player and able to communicate effectively with both internal and external customers as well as take direction to achieve team goals. Demonstrated ability to understand and undertake all tasks in accordance with Occupational Health and Safety policies and procedures is essential.

* Salary: $36.48 - $37.53 per hour (inclusive of casual loading), plus 11.5% superannuation
