About the Opportunity
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our Child Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) team. As a key member of the multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality specialist mental health services to infants, children, young people, and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the delivery of evidence-informed, high-quality specialist mental health services to the community-based CAMHS population.
* Provide clinical leadership to a multidisciplinary team across one or more sites.
* Offer high-level consultation, psychiatric assessments, and therapeutic services as needed.
* Share accountability with the service manager and Clinical Coordinators for outcomes of multidisciplinary clinical practice.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* Fellowship of Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists or equivalent.
* Registrable as a Psychiatrist with the Australian Health Practitioners Agency (AHPRA).
* Demonstrated clinical excellence in the specialty of child psychiatry.
* Ability to lead a multi-disciplinary team, including leading improvements in clinical outcomes and in implementing clinical change.
* Skills in complex problem solving and decision making at the organisational and individual level.
* Ability to engage consumers in individual care planning and broader service planning.
* Experience in a child and adolescent mental health setting using a multi-disciplinary approach.
* Experience in successfully liaising and working cooperatively with a range of community organisations to ensure an appropriate continuum of care.
