Your new role
1. Manage and deliver financial aspects of formal planning cycles, including budget and forecast preparation.
2. Provide expert financial and commercial advice to senior stakeholders, ensuring effective financial services and information delivery within the Unit.
3. Collaborate with the Finance Partner to monitor financial performance against budget and forecast, and engage with key stakeholders.
4. Offer informed reporting and insights, ensuring compliance with internal policies and procedures.
5. Act as a proactive, customer-oriented liaison between the teams and divisions, ensuring excellent stakeholder engagement across both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
6. Conduct ad hoc financial and commercial analysis, financial modeling, and reporting, presenting quality analysis and recommendations to clients.
7. Participate in continuous improvement projects and ensure compliance with financial controls, policies, and procedures.
What you'll need to succeed
You will need to be CA/CPA qualified Accountant with a strong background in Management Accounting to serve as the 2IC to the Finance Business Partner. As this is a contract role, you will need to be available at short notice and, ideally, have worked within the university sector before.
What you'll get in return
You will get an initial 6-month contract, which potentially could get extended, and the opportunity to support the Finance Business Partner with the budgeting and forecasting process. This role will also give you the opportunity to showcase your financial modeling and analysis skills. The daily rate on offer for this role is between $500 - $550/day + super.
