Acacia Motor Inn is a motel based in Armidale NSW 2350. We are seeking an outstanding and energetic Motel Manager to join our growing team. This opportunity will suit a driven and enthusiastic Motel Management Professional looking for a new opportunity within a dynamic and expanding accommodation business.
Responsibilities:
1. Facilities Management:
o Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of all motel facilities, including rooms, common areas, and outdoor spaces.
o Conduct regular inspections to identify and address any maintenance issues promptly.
o Coordinate with external contractors for major repairs and renovations.
o Manage inventory and procurement of maintenance supplies and equipment.
o Manage motel’s breakfast services and revise the menu as required.
2. Guest Services:
o Handle guest inquiries, online inquiries, reservations, and check-ins/check-outs.
o Resolve guest complaints and issues in a timely and professional manner.
o Ensure the cleanliness, security, and comfort of guest rooms and common areas.
3. Team Management:
o Manage and supervise the work of staff.
o Train and develop staff to maintain high standards of service.
o Create and enforce clear policies and procedures.
4. Budgeting, Cost Control, and Reporting:
o Monitor and control facility maintenance costs.
o Develop and implement cost-saving strategies.
o Reconcile debtor’s accounts.
o Assist in accounting and financial work and reporting if required by the team members.
o Oversee profit and loss.
o Prepare regular reports on facility expenses and performance.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Proven experience in facilities management, preferably in the hospitality industry.
* Strong understanding of building maintenance and repair techniques.
* Excellent organisational and time management skills.
* Leadership qualities and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Proficiency in computer software, including property management systems.
* Self-driven with outstanding managerial skills with a minimum of a Diploma or higher qualification in a similar stream.
* A valid driver's license.
The position is a live on-site full-time position; the modern 2-bedroom furnished residence is comfortable with bathrooms and a full kitchen. As a successful candidate, you will be offered an immediate start and a negotiable salary.
