The current project is titled “Towards the direct deposition of printed solar cells for next-generation building-integrated photovoltaic technology”. This project aims to develop semi-transparent electrodes for integration of solar cells into building-integrated photovoltaics (BIPV) products, glazing, roofing, and cladding. The expected outcome is for new materials and processes for low-cost semi-transparent electrodes to be developed. The potential benefit is to generate sovereign manufacturing opportunities in the energy technology sector.
