This role is based at our Dandenong South, Vic site and reports directly to the Site Supervisor - VIC. You will assist in taking our current operations to the next level through change and progression by strategically and methodically making the necessary improvements required.Our ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years' experience in a manufacturing or logistics environment, have prior experience running the inventory management function within a company, intermediate level of SAP and Microsoft Office skills, excellent communication skills and a high regard for safety.Your duties will include: Key and lodge purchase orders with suppliers for purchased stock in line with targets set by the GM - Logistics.Receipt of purchased product in SAP.Checking invoices against delivery notes for receipted product.Liaison with suppliers on lead times and status of backorders and credit or pick up/return requests related to incorrect supply.Coordinate weekly consumables counts.Raise purchase orders for servicing, waste removal as well as for production.Advise the Customer Service Team of lead time for both ex-mill and purchased product.Liaison with the GM - Logistics and Customer Service Manager of lead times on ex-mill product. Coordinate inter-state stock transfers.Coordinate the reconciling of all stock transactions. Keying manual transitions including but not limited to: pack creation and labelling, batch splits, manual cuts etc.Ensure that pack and cycle counts are done in accordance with the schedule.Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies that arise from stock counts.Ensure remedial action is taken in consultation with the Production Supervisor/s, in relation to damaged or weathered stock.Responsible for ensuring pack locations are clearly marked including inbound and outbound Despatch locations.Be the principal coordinator of all site-related stocktakes.Provide cover for the following positions whilst they are on leave: Operations Manager, Despatch Supervisor, Customer Service Team Leader or Customer Services Officers.Ensuring new price lists for Purchased stock are forwarded to head office.Consult with the Production Supervisor/s to ensure pack stock is rotated. Essential Selection Criteria: 3 to 5 years experience within a similar role.Experience in manufacturing or logistics is highly regarded.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.A focus on safe and efficient operational protocols.Strong computer literacy with SAP software and Microsoft Office applications.The ability to work effectively within a team.This is a senior role within the business; therefore, you must have the skills and abilities to lead the inventory management function for the site. Desired Selection Criteria: Advanced problem-solving abilities.Analytical & meticulous.Demonstrated track record of achieving targets and deadlines.Formal qualifications in Supply Chain/Inventory Management is highly regarded.
