About the role: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Supply Chain Director to lead our supply chain operations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing supply chain processes in the consumer goods sector, including quality, procurement, production planning, logistics, and distribution. They will optimise operations, drive continuous improvement, ensure supply chain sustainability, and align the supply chain strategy with the overall business goals. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement comprehensive supply chain strategies aimed at optimising operational efficiency and productivity. Align supply chain strategies with the overall business objectives to drive competitive advantage and profitability. Supply Chain Management: Oversee end-to-end supply chain processes, including procurement, inventory management, logistics, and distribution. Lead the development and implementation of efficient supply chain practices, focusing on continuous improvement and sustainability. Supplier Relationship Management: Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers and negotiate contracts to secure advantageous agreements. Develop and maintain strong, ethical relationships with suppliers and ensure compliance with company standards and industry regulations. Risk Management: Identify supply chain risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure uninterrupted supply of products. Ensure supply chain compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, standards, and practices. Financial Management: Develop and manage supply chain budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficiency in operations. Monitor and report on supply chain performance, implementing corrective actions to optimize costs and improve profitability. Team Management and Development: Lead, mentor, and develop supply chain team, fostering a positive and collaborative working environment. Promote cross-functional collaboration between supply chain and other departments to achieve business goals. Customer and Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Service teams to ensure supply chain alignment with customer needs and expectations. Engage with key stakeholders and provide regular updates on supply chain performance and initiatives. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field. Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in supply chain management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the consumer goods industry. Skills : Strong leadership and managerial skills. Proficient in supply chain management software and analytical tools. Excellent negotiation and communication skills. Advanced problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
