Join the BOQ Group as a Senior Lending and Portfolio Analyst in our BOQ Finance Team as part of our larger Business Banking business.
This role provides tailored funding programs to Financial Intermediaries, Non-Bank Finance Companies, Fleet Asset Managers, Dealers/Vendors, Structured Finance partners and Novated Leasing Salary Packagers.
In this role, you will support BOQ's Dealer Finance Wholesale and Structured Finance business by acting as the 1st line of defense in risk management while delivering outstanding customer service.
Reporting to the Senior Manager BOQ Finance, you will manage both external and internal stakeholders, collaborating with and influencing a range of business partners across the group.
This senior role involves mentoring junior team members and requires strong negotiation and credit skills.
Your responsibilities will include preparing credit memorandums, business review papers, annual reviews, overseeing documentation, ensuring program compliance, conducting dashboard reporting analysis, providing relationship support, and overseeing the Structured Finance Audit Programme from a 1st line perspective.
You will act as the 1st line of defence in risk management, ensuring opportunities remain within BOQ Policy and Risk Appetite while contributing to the sustainable growth of the BOQ Dealer Finance and Structured Finance Portfolios.
You will negotiate with credit risk to ensure positive outcomes and work closely with Account Managers and customers to maintain a customer-centric approach to risk management.
Regular portfolio and covenant monitoring, compliance with BOQ credit policies, timely completion of credit submissions, and mandatory training are key aspects of this role.
About you
The ideal candidate will have experience in a Risk Assessment, Credit Assessment, or Analyst role in a commercial lending environment.
You should have experience writing detailed credit submissions and presenting to senior management, knowledge of accounting standards, and the ability to critically analyse Financial Statements.
You should possess superior financial analysis skills, attention to detail, and time management abilities.
A demonstrated sense of urgency, focus on follow-through, and the ability to close deals are essential.
