Position Details
As we continue our transformation and growth journey in the region, we are now looking to appoint a National Transport Manager, Convenience, to join our Team based at Hume Rd, Laverton in Melbourne.
The Role
The purpose of this role is to manage the National Convenience Operations and strategy for Lineage Australia, delivering the business’ requirements in terms of product, delivery and service whilst managing to commercial targets.
This is achieved through fostering a flexible work team approach which focuses on efficiency, waste reduction, quality, compliance, safety, continuous improvement whilst meeting and exceeding business expectations.
This role is key to leading the creation and implementation of a best practice Convenience vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve operational performance in managing the execution, direction, and coordination of all fleet and equipment matters within the organisation.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
1. Responsibility for National convenience transport operations
2. Supporting Convenience transport supervisors
3. Overseeing QSR operations
4. Responsibility for P&L of convenience and QSR businesses for transport
5. Strategic planning /decision making of convenience and QSR businesses.
6. Management and onboarding of new customers - partnership and customer engagement.
7. Overseeing Route optimisation and utilisation of convenience fleet internal/external resources
8. Subcontractor Management and performance metrics associated for Convenience business
9. Overseeing and drive compliance and COR for convenience operations
Your experience, skills and qualifications should ideally include:
10. Extensive experience in a similar role (industry experience is preferable)
11. Qualifications in Business/Logistics
12. Experience leading a medium - large team
13. Managing P&L with direct and contract drivers.
14. Strong understanding and implementation of safety procedures, product safety, quality and legality issues
15. The ability to provide training to subcontractors and drivers on Company processes and procedures
16. Strong IT skills (Microsoft Office, TMS)
