QBuild is a commercialised business unit of the Queensland Government. It has been Queensland Government's builder for over 160 years, playing an important role in communities across the state by building and maintaining government-owned assets such as schools, social housing, police stations and correctional and health facilities.
About the role
You will play a pivotal role in supporting QBuild's ambition to strengthen Queensland's building and construction industry by providing comprehensive recruitment and selection projects and initiatives are aligned with departmental gaols and are executed efficiently and delivery the intended benefits. This involves coordinating resources, managing timelines, overseeing budgets, and maintaining communication amongst stakeholders to achieve strategic objectives and drive the overall success of the program.
Duties and skills involved:
1. Lead the development, implementation and management of strategies for the implementation of the Rebuild QBuild program and the onboarding of new staff.
2. Implement a methodology for capturing and delivering and reporting, with a focus on customer satisfaction, as well as quality, value for money outcomes and effective resource management.
3. Provide timely and effective high-level advice to ensure the department achieves the desired outcomes of the program.
4. Lead a team centred on supporting regions and other business areas to meet their delivery goals within allocated resources.
5. Analyse, interpret and report on financial related data on the program including monitoring and reporting on anomalies and adjust forecasting accordingly.
6. Lead the execution of the program's success through the development of external advertising and marketing campaigns.
7. Ensure high level liaison, consultation and negotiation with internal and external stakeholders relating to the programs and initiatives delivered by QBuild Careers.
Additional requirements:
8. Experience and knowledge in leading and managing teams and individuals.
9. Experience and knowledge in design, development, and delivery of training programs and materials.
10. Strong interpersonal skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to effectively attract, evaluate, and retain top talent.
11. Travel will be required to support hiring processes across SEQ and regional locations.
