Mills Recruitment is excited to partner with a leading engineering firm in search of an experienced Civil Drafter for an exciting new opportunity.Our client is renowned for delivering high-impact projects across Australia, including mines, minerals processing facilities, LNG installations, refineries, chemical plants, power stations, and telecommunications infrastructure.Project Overview: Join the Ar Rjum Project, an ambitious greenfield gold mining development in the Central Arabian Gold Region.This groundbreaking project features three open-pit mining operations, along with waste dumps, ore stockpiles, a processing plant, tailings management facilities, and essential infrastructure, including water and power supply, maintenance facilities, offices, and accommodation villages.Located approximately 200 km northeast of Taif and 26 km south of Al Mouwayh, this challenging project offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a major mining development in a remote setting.Key Responsibilities: As a Civil Designer, you will be responsible for planning, developing, and quality checking civil design work.Your role includes producing 3D models, drawings, documentation for the project, and taking off quantities for estimating.Major Responsibilities: Plan, develop, coordinate, and review design work within a small civil design team on medium-sized projects or assignments in support of the global business unit.Produce models, drawings (including drafting), and documentation according to established design standards for civil works, such as earthworks, roads, and drainage structures.Prepare or oversee civil design estimates and work plans in accordance with project scope, schedule, and budget, managing implementation and performance accordingly.Participate in reviews and checks of civil engineering sketches and drawings from designers and drafters.Ensure civil designs comply with applicable installation codes, design guides, regulations, and standards.Coordinate and interface with civil engineers, designers, and drafters on day-to-day technical work.Collaborate with other project groups to ensure cohesive civil design work.Engage in technical discussions with third parties, including clients and suppliers.Contribute to the development of Engineering Department Procedures (EDPs), design guides, and standard computer applications.About you: Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience.Extensive experience in design and drafting using MicroStation and OpenRoads software.Strong knowledge of design and drafting techniques, engineering drawings, graphic arts, and reproduction methods.Experience in managing multi-discipline interfaces and overseeing global 3D models.Proficient in reading and interpreting related documents and drawings from other project groups.Knowledge of engineering and construction materials relevant to design responsibilities.Solid experience in design and drafting.Candidates must have full working rights in Australia.If you're interested in this role, please apply now or email ******.At Mills Recruitment, we believe in partnering with you to help build a satisfying and rewarding career.We will work with you every step of the way to ensure you achieve your professional goals.
